With the July Holiday’s fast approaching, I thought it was fitting to give you some ideas of what you can do with the kids in Durban to keep them entertained for almost a month.
Before the holidays begin, sit down with the kids and your calendar and schedule in all the things that you would like to do these holidays.
By putting together, a list you will be able to ensure that you cover all the basis.
Play dates: List all the names of those that you would like to see including friends and family.
To do list: The school term is always so busy that we seldom have time to clean out the cupboards of clothes that don’t fit, toys that we have outgrown, items that need mending and things that need to get fixed. Make a list of these tasks and schedule them into the calendar so you don’t end up trying to fit them in on the last week of holidays or run out of time to get them done.
Activities: List all the activities that you would like to do. By putting them onto the calendar, you will be able to ensure that you space them out, this will leave the kids feeling continuously entertained so that boredom does not set in. It will also help you to budget for the holidays so that you don’t end up over spending, or spending money on things that you did not intend to.
Ensure that you leave days free to relax and enjoy your home.
On your list make sure that you plan the times that you would like to do all activities, this will help you to plan activities around meal times, so you don’t end up spending money on food that you could have made at home.
